Opportunity Overview:
We are seeking a Strategic Accounts Manager to join our Payment Integrity Team. In this role, you will help support and grow key client relationships while serving as an important liaison to cross-functional and internal teams. You will play a key role in ensuring clients receive a high-quality experience through strong communication, operational support, and proactive problem solving.
This role is highly collaborative and customer-focused, requiring someone who enjoys building relationships, navigating complex issues, and driving continuous improvement. You will partner closely with leadership and internal stakeholders to support strategic initiatives, improve processes, analyze client data and trends, and help identify opportunities to enhance the value delivered to clients. Your work will directly contribute to client satisfaction, retention, and long-term growth.

What you’ll do:
Manage and monitor client communications, ensuring timely responses, issue resolution, and escalation when appropriate
Track and coordinate client-submitted support tickets across internal teams through resolution
Analyze client data, trends, and key performance metrics to generate insights and support strategic decision-making
Develop customer-facing materials, reports, presentations, and communications that clearly convey recommendations and value
Support cross-functional initiatives related to client onboarding, implementation, process improvements, training materials, and communication strategies
Partner closely with operations, analytics, product, clinical, compliance, and other internal stakeholders to solve complex client challenges
Participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews both internally and externally with clients
Proactively identify opportunities to improve client experience, operational processes, and customer outcomes
Help ensure alignment across teams to support successful client execution and long-term account growth
What you’ll need:
Must-haves
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
6+ years of experience in account management, client success, healthcare operations, consulting, or similar client-facing roles
Strong communication, relationship management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with both business and operational teams
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support business recommendations
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
Self-motivated, adaptable, and highly collaborative
Passionate about delivering a proactive, supportive, and partner-oriented client experience
Passion for improving the healthcare system and helping drive better outcomes for clients and patients
Nice-to-haves
Healthcare domain experience strongly preferred; experience working with health plans is a plus
Familiarity with Mac, Google Suite, Confluence, and JIRA
Experience supporting strategic client initiatives, implementations, or operational process improvements
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and take initiative in unfamiliar areas
Project management experience, including planning, coordination, and execution across multiple stakeholders

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Cohere is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
