Senior FinOps & Cloud Analyst

We are looking for a Senior FinOps & Cloud Analyst to help us understand, forecast, and optimize the cost structure of our cloud-based products. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, pricing, product, and finance, and exists to make sure our cloud cost structure scales with customer behavior, feature growth, and revenue. This is not just a cost optimization role. It is a unit economics role. You will help ensure that every new feature, workload, and customer segment contributes to healthy gross margins and predictable growth. You should be comfortable diving into cloud infrastructure concepts, analyzing usage data, and building tools and reports that help engineering, finance, and sales understand the economics of our platform. WHAT YOU WILL OWN - Own visibility into cloud unit economics, including COGS, gross margin, and contribution margin by customer and usage pattern. - Translate infrastructure metrics into revenue, margin, and pricing impact. - Build and maintain cost allocation models per customer, ideally automated and easy to trust. - Develop real-time dashboards that connect usage, infrastructure cost, and profitability. - Create alerting and reporting for margin degradation and cost anomalies. - Support pricing decisions for new features, product changes, and packaging evolution. - Model the cost impact of variable customer workloads and changing usage behavior. - Build forecast models for growth scenarios, including “what happens at 10× scale?” - Support enterprise deal modeling and commercial discussions with clear margin insight. - Help create a repeatable operating system for pricing and unit economics across teams. WHO YOU ARE - Strong analytical background and comfort working with data, cost models, and financial metrics. - Experience with cloud infrastructure, usage-based products, or FinOps. - Ability to connect technical systems to business outcomes. - Experience building dashboards, forecasts, or profitability models. - Strong SQL skills; Python or similar tooling is a plus. - Clear communication skills and the ability to work across Engineering, Product, Finance, and Sales. - A structured, ownership-driven mindset.
