About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic’s Global Safety, Intelligence, and Security (GSIS) team is responsible for protecting our people, facilities, and operations worldwide. The function spans intelligence, executive protection, investigations, travel and event security, security operations, environmental health and safety, and crisis management — and it’s growing quickly as Anthropic’s footprint, public profile, and threat surface all expand. We are seeking a Protective Intelligence Analyst to join our GSIS team. In this role, you will play a critical part in identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats to Anthropic's people, facilities, operations, and reputation through intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination. You'll have the opportunity to help shape the program from the ground up, establishing workflows, analytical standards, and stakeholder relationships that will scale as Anthropic grows.
This role sits at the intersection of intelligence analysis, behavioral threat assessment, and executive protection. You'll produce actionable intelligence that informs security decisions across the organization and operate across the full intelligence cycle, from collection and processing to analysis, production, and dissemination, in a high-tempo environment where the threat landscape is rapidly evolving. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on the analytical challenge of connecting disparate data points into a coherent threat picture and translating that picture into clear, actionable guidance for decision-makers.
Important Note: In this position, you may be exposed to graphic and explicit content, including material of a sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing nature.
Responsibilities

Apply behavioral threat assessment principles to persons-of-concern cases, analyzing patterns of concerning behavior, indicators of escalation toward violence, and mitigating factors to guide case disposition and ongoing threat management
Provide intelligence support for executive protection, travel security, and major events, including pre-travel and event briefs, assessments, and real-time threat monitoring
Monitor open-source intelligence channels, social media, deep and dark web forums, and web-based intelligence platforms for emerging threats and risks
Track geopolitical developments and sector-specific threat trends relevant to Anthropic’s global operations and the AI industry
Build relationships with external intelligence partners, law enforcement agencies, and industry peers working on related issues and to facilitate information sharing
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 5+ years of professional experience in protective intelligence, corporate investigations, threat assessment, or a related discipline
Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
Have expertise in Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) tradecraft, including proficiency with specialized intelligence tools and social media analysis platforms
Understand how targeted violence develops behaviorally and can recognize and weigh warning behaviors, escalation dynamics, and protective factors when assessing whether a subject is on a pathway toward harm
Have hands-on experience applying established threat assessment methodologies (e.g., TRAP-18, WAVR-21) to analyze and evaluate individuals of concern
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively tailor complex content for various stakeholders, from technical teams to senior leadership
Can manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines with minimal oversight
Have a strong drive for continuous process improvement and thrive in highly collaborative environments
