Role at a Glance The NDT Level III – UAE Operations serves as the on-site technical authority for Gecko’s inspection program in the UAE. This position serves as a technical expert and customer-facing subject matter expert (SME), responsible for data validation, high-level customer engagements, enforcing existing quality systems, technical standards, and NDT methods and techniques in the field, ensuring full consistency with Gecko’s US operations. This role operates under the direction of the Corporate Level III Manager and will certify under Gecko’s existing Commercial Written Practice which is identical in process to that used for US based personnel, ensuring standardization and compliance across all global operations. This role works closely with internal operations, field teams and engineering to ensure excellence in inspection outcomes and compliance What you will do - Serve as the primary technical authority in the UAE, enforcing Gecko’s existing policies, procedures, and Advanced Services (AS) inspection techniques in the field. - Ensure all UAE inspection operations maintain full consistency with the standards, quality expectations, and reporting requirements of the US operation. - Validate inspection data and review and/or sign off on inspection reports in accordance with established reporting standards. - Perform and oversee inspections using advanced techniques, including PAUT corrosion mapping, PAUT weld inspection, and HIC/SOHIC assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and clearly communicate inspection insights and results to customers. - Ensure compliance and drive improvements through technician performance evaluations in the field, ensuring effectiveness of training, inspection technique and tool application, and process adherence - Support the qualification and certification of UAE inspection personnel under Gecko’s Commercial Written Practice - Collaborate with Engineering, and Field Operations to align NDT processes with evolving technology and customer needs. - Analyze inspection data to provide actionable insights that improve product and process performance. - Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance across all NDT operations. - Mentor and train NDT technicians, driving skill development, and consistency in execution. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, driving advancements in inspection techniques and field processes to enhance operational efficiency. About You - A technical operator and enforcer, someone who thrives in a field-based role maintaining rigorous standards and quality requirements. - Strong communicator with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Analytical, process-driven, and quality-oriented, with a deep understanding of industrial UT/PAUT inspection technologies. - Adaptable and collaborative, able to work effectively in cross-functional and customer-facing roles. - Mission focused and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, integrity, and quality. Required Skills - Minimum 10 years of UT/PAUT experience in industrial inspection. - ASNT or PCN Level III certification in UT/PAUT. - Proven experience applying NDT methods and processes. - Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. - Excellent organizational and communication abilities. - Experience supporting customer relationships and inspection delivery in complex environments. Preferred Skills - Experience working with advanced or robotic NDT systems. - Familiarity with both traditional and emerging NDT technologies. - Prior SME experience in customer-facing or technical consulting roles. - Deep knowledge of damage mechanisms and inspection methodologies. - Experience within technology-driven or highly regulated industries.
