The Opportunity:
Help define and own Moloco's external communications strategy, leading the day-to-day of our global PR programs and evolving the function as the company scales.
Build and execute an integrated executive communications program, developing narratives, managing speaking and awards opportunities, and shaping the public profiles of Moloco's senior leaders.
Partner with senior leaders across the company on communications strategy, coaching them on how to share Moloco's story effectively with external audiences.
Personally pitch and cultivate relationships with journalists, analysts, and influencers across key markets and beats — from trade and business media to emerging platforms and content partnerships.
Build a modern global external communications strategy that combines earned media, owned content, social and influencer engagement, and strategic storytelling partnerships.
Manage and optimize agency relationships across multiple markets, ensuring message consistency while adapting to local dynamics.
Navigate cultural and regulatory differences in communications approaches across North America, EMEA, APAC, and other key regions.
Anticipate issues and coordinate across Communications, Legal, People, and executive leadership to ensure timely, accurate, and trusted external communications in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.
How Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me?
8-10 years of strategic communications experience with significant experience in external and executive communications at a high-growth startup or public company.
Proven track record building or transforming an external communications function, with clear impact on brand reputation, media presence, and executive profile.
Demonstrated B2B communications expertise, with the ability to reach technical buyers, business decision-makers, and C-suite executives across global markets.
Active media relationships and exceptional writing ability, with an ability to personally execute and own key initiatives.
Experience building and running executive communications programs, including thought leadership, speaking strategy, and media preparation for senior leaders.
Strong global communications experience with demonstrated understanding of regional media landscapes, cultural nuances, and local market dynamics.
Proven ability to manage agency relationships across multiple markets, driving consistency and quality at scale.
High judgment and discretion, with experience navigating sensitive communications in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.
Genuine curiosity about AI and how it's changing the way we work, as well as an eagerness to bring that curiosity into how we build and run our communications function.
Compensation & Benefits
U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits and perks. U.S.-based employees also receive up to 12 scheduled paid holidays per calendar year and one Thrive Day off per quarter. Additionally, all employees have Flexible Time Off (FTO).
The successful candidate may be eligible for a bonus and equity awards. Eligibility and amounts are determined by performance and the terms of the applicable plans.
The location for this role is listed above. For base pay range purposes, location-based compensation is grouped into the following regions. Your region is determined by your assigned work location.
Region A: Menlo Park Office, New York Office, SF Bay Area, New York Metro Area
Region B: Seattle Office, Seattle, Los Angeles/Orange County, San Diego, Austin, Boston, Washington
