AV Live Events & Operations Engineer Nebius | Full-Time | Amsterdam (Hybrid)
About the Role
Nebius is looking for an AV Live Events & Operations Engineer to lead the delivery of high-quality live events while maintaining reliable day-to-day AV operations across our office environments.
This is a hybrid role combining live event production leadership with hands-on AV operational support. You will own and execute company-wide events such as All Hands and town halls, while also serving as the key escalation point for AV issues and ensuring the health, performance, and usability of AV systems across offices.
What You'll Do
Live Events Leadership
Own end-to-end AV delivery for internal events including All Hands, town halls, and large-scale hybrid meetings
Plan, coordinate, and execute live event production covering audio, video, streaming, and room integration
Design and manage Zoom-based events including webinars and complex hybrid meeting formats
Configure and operate Zoom Webinar workflows: roles, permissions, backstage/green room setup, and audience interaction features
Manage layouts, spotlighting, switching, and broadcast outputs to ensure a high-quality viewer experience
Operate vision mixers, hardware control surfaces, audio mixing consoles, and camera control systems
Work comfortably across both hardware-based workflows and touch panel/software-based control interfaces
Partner with internal stakeholders (IT, Workplace, Communications) to align on event requirements and delivery
Manage external AV vendors and production partners where required
Act as on-site or remote technical lead during events, ensuring smooth execution and rapid issue resolution
Drive post-event reviews and continuous improvement of event standards and workflows
Travel as needed to support live events in other offices or countries
AV Operations & Support
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex AV issues across meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, and event environments
Provide both on-site support (Amsterdam office) and remote support for global offices
Work closely with the Help Desk team to ensure smooth handoff and resolution of escalated issues
Identify patterns in escalations and improve upstream triage and support processes
System Health & Maintenance
Conduct regular AV system health checks and daily sweeps across meeting rooms and shared spaces
Ensure all AV equipment is operational, up to date, and aligned with company standards
Proactively identify recurring issues and implement fixes or improvements
Contribute to the transition toward remote monitoring and diagnostics
AV Systems & Continuous Improvement
Support deployment, configuration, and optimisation of AV systems and event spaces
Develop and maintain AV standards, documentation, and operational runbooks
Monitor system performance using device dashboards and telemetry platforms
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance reliability, user experience, and scalability
Stay current with AV technologies, hybrid event trends, and industry best practices
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in live AV event production and enterprise AV support environments
Strong expertise with Zoom, including Zoom Webinars, complex meeting setups, broadcast control, and audience management
Hands-on experience with professional AV hardware: vision mixers/video switchers, audio mixing consoles, camera systems, and touch panel/software control interfaces
Strong troubleshooting skills across video conferencing, audio processing, and AV control systems
Ability to operate independently and stay calm under pressure in live, high-visibility event scenarios
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Willingness to provide on-site and remote support, including travel as required
Nice to Have
Experience with AV monitoring and management platforms such as Logitech Sync, Zoom Dashboard, Q-SYS, or Crestron
Familiarity with AV-over-IP, signal flow, and system integration
Experience managing vendors and external production partners
Industry certifications: CTS, Q-SYS, Crestron, or equivalent
