We strive to create an environment of inclusion—one focused on psychological safety, empathy, and human connection—that will allow employees of all backgrounds to thrive. About The Role Amplitude is entering its next phase of growth — where AI, product innovation, and customer impact collide — and we're looking for a Senior Storyteller to bring that to the world. Reporting to the Editorial Director, this role will be core to building our newsroom — a communications function designed to operate at the speed of the product, with the editorial discipline of a media company. Your core skill is writing across formats and situations: a press pitch, a CEO opinion piece, a product launch narrative, a provocative social post on AI. If you're a strong writer and communications manager who is energized by working across a wide range of communications challenges, this is the right environment. What you'll do Write exceptional content across formats and topics. Press pitches, op-ed drafts, executive LinkedIn posts, product launch narratives, talking points, reactive commentary. You'll develop fluency in Amplitude's voice and apply it across whatever the moment requires. Support and shape Amplitude's press relationships. Build genuine connections with journalists covering AI, enterprise tech, and analytics. Know what makes a story worth pitching and when to walk away from one that isn't. Support the exec comms program. Partner closely with senior leaders to craft clear POVs on AI and the future of analytics. Turn those into media, social, and other moments that feel human, distinctive, and repeatable. Own your beat at the daily editorial standup. The newsroom team responds to what's happening in the market in real time. You'll monitor what's being published and discussed, flag relevant moments, and arrive with angles rather than questions. Drive integrated content for product updates. Whether we ship something incremental or monumental, the storytelling team is on point to share the news — as a blog post, social package, or press pitch. You will be a primary contributor to that process. Think about distribution. Writing the piece is half the job. You'll understand how content travels, how to adapt the same idea across channels, and what makes something worth sharing. Move fast on market moments. When something goes viral that Amplitude has a credible take on, you’ll have a draft response ready before that window closes. Who you are You have 5–8 years in communications, PR, journalism, or a combination, with work that demonstrates genuine range across formats and situations. You write exceptionally well and have a portfolio that proves it. You're genuinely curious about technology, particularly AI. You already follow the conversation, have opinions, and can explain Amplitude's position clearly. You have experience writing for executives and understand that writing in someone else's voice is a craft, not a constraint. You have strong instincts for what makes a story worth telling and what makes a pitch land. You know when to push an angle and when to kill it. You use AI tools actively in your daily workflow and can describe specifically how and why. You work well under time pressure and make good judgment calls about when something is ready to ship. Who We Are The Company: Amplitude is filled with humble, life-long learners who are eager to help one another and the company succeed. Our values of growth mindset, ownership, and humility are core to the way we work: we’re tenacious in the face of challenges, we take the initiative to solve problems that drive our shared success, and we operate from a place of empathy and openness, seeking to understand many points of view.  The Product: Amplitude is a digital analytics platform—we help companies capture data they can trust, uncover clear insights about customer behavior, and take faster action. This empowers teams to build better product experiences that drive business growt
