Weʼre looking for a Senior Manager of AI Engineering to join our global team and lead our US-based group of AI engineers, working in close partnership with peers in India. The team is dedicated to building high-impact, user-facing AI features. If youʼre passionate about building AI that is smarter, faster, and always secure, weʼd love to meet you.   What you'll be doing Lead and grow an AI engineering team in US as part of a unified global AI team.  Partner with Product Managers and peers to define priorities, share roadmaps, and deliver projects that matter.  Build and scale the Agentic AI solutions — enabling reusable AI agents, orchestration, and enterprise-grade guardrails.  Deliver Applied AI solutions that improve productivity, decision-making, and customer/employee experiences.  Ensure engineering excellence through secure design, scalable architectures, and reliable delivery.  Collaborate across functions — Security, Infrastructure, Data, and Business stakeholders — to accelerate AI adoption at scale.    What you'll bring to the role For 12+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in applied AI/ML or intelligent automation.  3+ years leading engineering teams in US while collaborating daily with India-based counterparts.  Hands-on knowledge of LLMs, AI agent frameworks, orchestration platforms, RAG pipelines, and vector search.  Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), APIs, and microservices at scale.  A people leader who can coach, mentor, and build high-performing teams.  Strong communicator with the ability to align across time zones, cultures, and functions.  What you can look forward to as an Okta employee!
