About this role

ABOUT GROWTHX AI At GrowthX, we’re building the modern growth engine for marketing teams. Since launching in 2024, we've grown from concept to eight-figure annual revenue. To date, we've raised a $12M Series A led by Madrona Venture Group and we partner with 60+ companies ranging from high-growth startups to industry leaders like Lovable, Webflow, Ramp, Superhuman, Strapi, Abnormal Security, and Augment Code. We’ve built something different: an operating system that unifies powerful AI workflows with forward-deployed experts to transform content into compounding organic growth. We’re building the growth infrastructure marketing teams wish they’d always had — the system that reliably turns context into strategy, strategy into execution, and execution into measurable growth. We're looking for an exceptional Managing Editor with strong organizational skills to own content production operations using GrowthX Pipelines. You'll produce content end-to-end, evaluate and improve workflows, and ensure every deliverable meets our quality bar before it ships. You'll manage several client accounts simultaneously, partner with Engagement Managers who set priorities, and work within a production team that cares deeply about speed, quality, and continuous improvement. Your editorial judgment is paramount. While you'll leverage powerful AI workflows to produce content, your value lies in your ability to edit, rewrite, and polish content to a high bar of quality. You understand how AI works and will help shape our systems to get closer to 100% perfect outputs with each iteration, consistently reducing work for yourself and others by articulating improvements that make the GrowthX product better. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Edit content to a client-ready standard across multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy, voice consistency, and structural quality before delivery. You are the final gateway for quality output. - Manage production across several client accounts, each with different products, audiences, and quality standards. You'll maintain the editorial calendar, track deadlines, and deliver on time every week. - Provide structured pipeline feedback when you see systemic issues. Document what's breaking, prioritize by impact, and suggest specific fixes — not just "make it better." - Collaborate with pipeline engineers and team leads to implement workflow improvements, optimize artifacts, and raise the quality bar for your accounts. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Editorial judgment you can trust under speed: You know the difference between a substantive fix and a nitpick. You prioritize accuracy, clarity, and audience fit over cosmetic perfection, and you can move through content quickly without missing what matters. - Real experience with AI-assisted content: Not just "I've used ChatGPT." You've edited LLM output, you know its failure modes and you've improved AI workflows through better inputs. - Systems thinking over heroic effort: When you see the same problem in every article, you don't just fix each one — you ask why it keeps happening and push for upstream changes. You think in feedback loops, not one-offs. - Comfort with high volume, multi-client work: You can juggle accounts with different voices, audiences, and standards without dropping balls. You batch efficiently and know when to escalate. - Strong B2B content instincts: You've worked with technical or business content and can hold your own with topics like SaaS, engineering, security, fintech, or similar verticals without dumbing things down. - Clear, direct communication: Your feedback is specific and actionable. You write clear documented processes others can operate from and pipeline reports that engineers can act on. NICE TO HAVE - Experience with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console) and on-page optimization - Background in content operations or editorial workflow management - Experience with project management tools (Linear, Asana, Notion) - Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow) WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE By 90 days, a successful Managing Editor at GrowthX will: - Be managing at least 3-4 client accounts independently - Deliver quality content, on time, every week - Be providing regular, structured pipeline feedback that leads to measurable quality improvements - Have built enough client context that their output requires minimal additional oversight We hire at a high level and expect you to ramp quickly. We invest heavily in onboarding, tooling, and support — but the bar is high and we assess progress continuously. Perks: 🌍 Fully Remote Work - Work from anywhere—your productivity, your space! - We help set up your work environment to enable your best work. - Minimal meetings and async communication for deep focus 🏖 Ample Time Off - Enablement for you to recognize your countries holidays - We encourage you to take the time you need to recharge! 📚 Professional
