THE ROLE As a Forward Deployed (Client Ops Engineer), you'll design and build custom solutions that range from AI-powered workflows to full-stack applications—leveraging your unique blend of technical SEO expertise and software engineering skills. While you won't interface directly with clients, you'll work closely with our internal teams who do, translating client requirements into elegant technical solutions that drive measurable growth. Your work will span the entire development lifecycle—from conceptualization and architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment. Beyond client projects, you'll contribute to our internal ecosystem by developing tools for our marketing team and creating micro-applications on top of our AI stack. Given your background in bridging marketing and engineering, you'll find this blend of external and internal development particularly aligned with your experience. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY No two days will look exactly alike in this position. One week you might be updating our website and micro-apps, the next you could be deep in development of a client-specific application that spans several months. You might spend a day configuring LLMs to power a new AI workflow, then pivot to building an internal tool that streamlines our operations—similar to the custom tools and Python-based applications you've built for SEO and growth optimization. TECHNICAL EXPECTATIONS We're seeking senior engineers (5+ years of experience) with comprehensive technical expertise. Your technical toolkit should include: - Advanced JavaScript proficiency with React (TypeScript) experience - Backend development experience (Ruby on Rails preferred, but Python or Node also welcomed) - Experience with Tailwind CSS and component libraries like Shadcn UI (or willingness to learn) - Comfort integrating with and configuring LLMs and AI systems - Strong understanding of API design and integration patterns - Experience building data-driven tools and web applications - Open-minded approach to using AI tools like Cursor and Cline for enhancing development productivity Experience building Gen AI/LLM-based products is a significant advantage. Your background in technical SEO, data analysis, and creating custom growth tools positions you well for this role. Prior work in startup or high-growth environments where you've bridged technical and business needs is highly valued. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Beyond meeting the technical requirements, the ideal Client Ops Engineer is someone who gets energized by variety and problem-solving. You should be comfortable wearing multiple hats—from frontend developer to backend architect to AI workflow engineer. Your experience in technical SEO has likely taught you to think systematically about complex problems, optimize for measurable outcomes, and work at the intersection of technical implementati
