About this role
ABOUT DISTYL AI
Distyl is an applied AI technology company partnering with the world’s most ambitious institutions to rearchitect critical operations for the frontier of AI. Our customers include the largest companies in telecom, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, consumer goods, and global social organizations.
We research and deploy technologies that power AI-native operations — both for our partners and for Distyl itself. Our work spans research into self-constructing systems, the development of the most reliable execution of AI systems, and products that transform mission-critical workflows. As a result, Distyl's technologies affect some of the world's largest operations — from hundreds of millions of consumer interactions to tens of millions of supply chain transactions and millions of patient journeys.
Distyl is backed by leading investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Khosla Ventures, Coatue, DST Global, and the board-members of 20+ F500s.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Distyl’s CEO operates at a fast pace across Fortune 500 customers, investors, board members, candidates, partners, and the press, often across multiple cities in the same week. Keeping that work moving requires someone who can manage critical details while also solving unfamiliar problems with speed and judgment.
This role is equal parts executive support and business problem-solving. You will coordinate complex logistics, manage priorities, build relationships, and take ambiguous requests from idea to completion. You will not simply manage activity around the CEO; you will help the entire operation run better.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious professional to learn how a high-growth AI company is built from inside the Office of the CEO. You will receive significant exposure and you will earn increasing responsibility by executing exceptionally well, demonstrating sound judgment, and consistently taking work off the CEO’s plate.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Turn requests into outcomes. Take ownership of unfamiliar, multi-step needs—whether securing an urgent international visa, preparing for an important meeting, researching a business question, or coordinating a strategic project. Determine the path forward, involve the right people, and drive the work to completion.
Create leverage for the CEO. Manage scheduling, travel, meeting preparation, personal logistics, and follow-up with precision. Maintain a clear view of priorities and commitments so important details do not get dropped.
Deliver exceptional external experiences. Ensure that candidates, customers, investors, board members, and partners experience thoughtful communication and flawless coordination. When plans change, respond calmly and protect both the relationship and the CEO’s time.
Help develop important relationships. Research stakeholders, identify paths to valuable introductions, coordinate thoughtful outreach, and follow up persistently. Learn when to keep pursuing an objective, when to try a different approach, and when to recommend moving on.
Strengthen the Office of the CEO. Create trackers, workflows, briefing materials, daily priority summaries, meeting-preparation standards, and follow-up systems. Identify recurring friction and build a better process.
Work across the company. Coordinate with founders’ associates, executives, employees, and external vendors. Communicate clearly, establish ownership, and keep projects moving even when no one reports directly to you.
