At Wayve, your contributions matter.  We value diversity, embrace new perspectives, and foster an inclusive work environment; we back each other to deliver impact.   Make Wayve the experience that defines your career!   The role As a DevOps CI/CD Engineer, you’ll work on the build and CI/CD systems that enable Wayve’s engineering teams to develop, test, and release software efficiently and reliably. You’ll help make our pipelines faster, more scalable, more secure, and easier for engineers to use. You’ll work closely with software engineers across the business to understand workflow pain points, troubleshoot complex build and pipeline issues, and deliver infrastructure and tooling improvements that have a direct impact on engineering productivity. This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to deepen your expertise across CI/CD infrastructure, build systems, developer experience, automation, and operational best practices. Key responsibilities Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and build infrastructure across development, testing, and release workflows. Improve build performance, reliability, and scalability, including caching, dependency management, incremental builds, and reproducible builds. Develop tooling and automation that improves developer workflows and reduces build and test feedback times. Operate and scale CI infrastructure, including build agents, runners, artifact storage, and supporting services. Monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot build and pipeline failures, working with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes. Contribute to the evolution of Wayve’s CI/CD architecture, security, and operational practices as engineering workloads scale. Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience and support efficient software delivery. Essential skills 3+ years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, CI/CD, developer infrastructure, platform engineering, or a related engineering role. Hands-on experience building, maintaining, or significantly improving CI/CD pipelines and automation systems. Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Buildkite, Azure DevOps, or similar. Experience with build tooling and concepts such as dependency management, caching, incremental builds, artifact management, and reproducible builds. Strong experience working with Linux, Git, and shell scripting. Programming or scripting experience using Python, Bash, Go, or similar. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially in complex build, pipeline, or infrastructure environments. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with engineering teams to improve developer workflows. Desirable skills Experience operating CI infrastructure at scale, including runners, agents, distributed build systems, or self-hosted CI environments. Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, Kubernetes, or infrastructure-as-code. Exposure to security best practices in CI/CD environments, including secrets management, dependency security, and pipeline hardening. Experience improving developer experience or internal platform tooling. Experience supporting software delivery in complex engineering environments, such as robotics, autonomous systems, machine learning, or large-scale software platforms.   Wayve is committed to creating an inclusive interview experience. If you require any accommodations or adjustments to participate fully in our interview process, please let us know. We understand that everyone has a unique set of skills and experiences and that not everyone will meet all of the requirements listed above. If you’re passionate about self-driving cars and think you have what it takes to make a positive impact on the world, we encourage you to apply. At Wayve we're committed to creating a diverse, fair and respectful culture that is inclusive of everyone based on their unique skills and perspectives, and regardless of sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partn
