JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled CAM Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for precision machining. The ideal candidate will translate engineering drawings and CAD models into efficient machining instructions, ensuring high-quality production while minimizing cycle time and material waste.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Create and modify CNC programs using CAM software for milling, turning, and multi-axis machines
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements
Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies
Simulate and verify toolpaths to prevent collisions and ensure accuracy
Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production teams to improve manufacturability
Optimize programs for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Troubleshoot machining issues and revise programs as needed
Maintain documentation for programs, tooling setups, and processes
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a CAM Programmer or CNC Programmer
Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Fusion 360, Mastercam, PowerMill, or similar)
Strong understanding of CNC machining processes (milling, turning, multi-axis)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, and machining techniques
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field 5+ Experience with 4-axis or 5-axis machining Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) Experience in high-precision or high-volume manufacturing environments Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Shop floor and office environment
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
