We're an ambitious team of 100+ working at the frontier of AI and have raised $60M in Series C funding from Wellington Management, CRV, Next47 and Y Combinator.
THE ROLE
As a Product Data Scientist at Encord, you will help shape the future of our platform and the AI teams that depend on it. By applying your technical skills, analytical mindset, and product intuition to rich datasets generated across the AI development lifecycle, you will help define the experiences we build for data scientists, ML engineers, and AI teams around the world.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Go-to-Market partners to use data and analysis to identify and solve our biggest product challenges. You will influence product strategy and investment decisions, be focused on impact, and play a key role in ensuring Encord continues to deliver exceptional value to the AI teams we serve.
What you'll do
-
- Use data to shape product development, quantify new opportunities, identify upcoming challenges, and ensure the products we build deliver real value to AI practitioners
- Identify and measure the success of product initiatives through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics
- Design and build our data analytics infrastructure from scratch in order to empower other teams to make data driven decisions
- Help your partner teams prioritise what to build, set goals, and develop a deep understanding of our product ecosystem
- Go beyond presenting data — tell compelling, data-driven stories that convince and influence partners with clear insights and recommendations
Who we're looking for
-
- Data-driven problem solver — you have strong product instincts and know how to turn complex data into clear, actionable direction
- Comfortable with ambiguity — you thrive in fast-moving environments and don't wait for perfect information to make progress
- Product-minded — you have a genuine curiosity about user behaviour and a passion for building products that have real impact
- AI-curious — you're excited about working at the frontier of AI and want to be close to where the most important decisions in the space are being made
- A strong communicator — you can translate technical findings into compelling narratives for non-technical partners
Experience requirements
-
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a relevant quantitative field (Master's or PhD a plus)
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, including data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical software (e.g. R)
- Experience understanding user behaviours, product ecosystems, and long-term product trends
- Demonstrated ability to lead data-driven projects from definition through to execution
- Bonus: experience with AI tools, prompt engineering, or agent orchestration
