About the team: Formic’s Finance team enables disciplined growth across our Robotics-as-a-Service platform. The team oversees capital strategy, treasury, credit, financial operations, compliance, accounting, and investor engagement. As Formic scales nationally, Finance ensures capital is deployed intelligently, portfolio performance remains strong, and the company maintains long-term financial resilience. Finance operates at the center of strategy and execution. It connects operational performance to capital markets, aligns deployment velocity with balance sheet strength, and supports executive decision-making with rigorous financial insight. About the role: As Director of Capital Markets & Investor Relations, you will operate at the intersection of operations, capital markets, and executive strategy. Reporting to the CFO, you will shape how Formic translates performance into financial narrative, capital positioning, and long-term value creation. You will rebuild and own the company’s core operating model, define the metrics that matter, and ensure Formic’s financial architecture supports both growth and durability. You will play a central role in capital formation across equity and debt, while serving as a trusted partner in board communication and investor engagement. This is a high-ownership leadership role in an early-stage, high-growth environment. You will not simply report results. You will define how results are measured, interpreted, and communicated to the market. In this role you will: Lead the development and evolution of Formic’s operating model, forecasting framework, and long-term financial architecture Translate operational performance into clear, credible financial narratives for investors and board stakeholders Define and refine KPIs that demonstrate the strength, scalability, and durability of Formic’s business model Monitor industry trends, competitor positioning, and capital market dynamics to inform strategic positioning Support equity and debt capital raise execution, including investor materials, diligence coordination, data management, and partner engagement Help structure and communicate complex financing initiatives, including debt and securitization strategies where applicable Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and executive leadership to ensure alignment, reporting discipline, and compliance Prepare board materials, investor updates, quarterly reporting packages, and strategic financial analyses Implement and maintain outward-facing dashboards and reporting frameworks that increase transparency and credibility Operate independently in a fast-moving environment, driving initiatives from concept through execution What makes you a great fit: 7+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, structured finance, or strategic finance within a high-growth company Direct experience engaging institutional equity investors and capital partners Demonstrated experience supporting early-stage or growth-stage fundraising processes Strong exposure to capital markets and debt structuring; securitization experience is a plus Exceptional financial modeling skills, with the ability to build and refine operating models from first principles Experience preparing board-facing materials and partnering closely with executive leadership Strong understanding of asset-heavy, hardware-enabled, or recurring revenue business models Ability to translate complex operational performance into clear financial insight and investor-facing narrative Strong executive presence, independent judgment, and comfort operating in ambiguous environments Our Total Rewards: At Formic, we believe people do their best work when they feel supported both professionally and personally.
